Gloria Niin is a PhD student at the Estonian University of Life Sciences.

Her research is dealing with urban forest recreation and management, focusing on the improvement of environmental, social, economic and legal aspects of urban forests in Estonia.

Gloria is working on the landscape and urban planning area of BlueHealth with a focus on the Soft GIS survey and the practical intervention in Tallinn.

She is using SoftGIS methods for understanding people’s recreational patterns, wishes and leisure habits within the urban greenery.

Gloria also has a position as a landscape architect at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. This concentrates on providing better opportunities for different user groups and making the outdoor space more resilient and diverse by changing green space management practices.
