Nicole van den Bogerd is a PhD student at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

She visited the European Centre for Environment & Human Health to work on BlueHealth as part of her doctoral studies. She is helping to analyse and report on data from the Teats Hill community level intervention carried out in Plymouth, United Kingdom.

During her PhD, Nicole is investigating the effects of various environmental interventions aiming to improve student health and well-being. She completed a BSc in Nutrition at the Hague University in 2013 and MSc in Health Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2015.

These divergent courses shaped her wide research interest in understanding how built and natural environments can contribute to human health and wellbeing.
