Dr Stefania Marcheggiani is an environmental molecular microbiologist at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità in Italy.
She has a background in environment and human health and experience of using microbiology and biotechnology to detect microorganisms on surface water.
Previously Stefania was actively involved in EU research projects: μAQUA project FP VII and MICROPAD Project FP V.
