Mattias Wallergård is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Design Sciences at Lund University in Sweden.
His research interests include interaction design, virtual reality and upcoming technologies such as augmented reality and the internet of things.
In BlueHealth, Mattias will be using virtual reality technology to:
1) evaluate responses to environments ranging from blue to green to grey (and mixed environments)
2) provide access to blue spaces for elderly with limited options for interacting with real-life nature.
For the last eight years, Mattias’s research has focused on performing virtual reality-based experiments to learn about the human stress system, and explored the impact of virtual nature environments on human health and wellbeing.
