Laura Mancini is a Naturalist with more than 20 years of experience in the study of aquatic ecosystems and their consequences for human health.

She is a Senior Researcher at the Italian National Institute of Health and the Head of Environmental Quality and Fish Farming Unit.

Laura is the lead researcher for BlueHealth at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità in Italy.
She is part of the project steering committee and involved in a research project in the Appia Antica Regional Park, as well as the ‘Innovation and engagement’ theme.

Laura is also working on implementation activities for the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/CE at a national and European level and was previously involved in several large pan-European projects.
