Gerd Johansson is Professor in Ergonomics and Human Factors at the Department of Design Sciences at the Engineering Faculty, Lund University in southern Sweden.

With a background in physics, Gerd is responsible for the division of Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology. Her main research areas are interaction design and visualization and the current research projects are focused on the care sector also including care for elderly.

She is also involved in several projects dealing with the human stress system.

In BlueHealth, Gerd will be involved in using virtual reality technology to evaluate responses to blue, green and grey environments – including those with a mixed composition. She will also explore the use of virtual environments to provide access to blue spaces for elderly people with limited options for interacting with real-life nature.
