David Rojas-Rueda is a researcher at ISGlobal specializing in health impact assessment, risk assessment and burden of disease approaches.

David completed his medical degree at the National University of Mexico and his general surgical residency at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. From there, he completed a Master in Public Health at the University Pompeu Fabra, followed by PhD in Epidemiology at the Center for Research in Environmental Epidemiology in Barcelona, Spain.

David has worked on issues including air pollution, physical activity, traffic accidents, greenspace, diet, cardiovascular risk, lead poisoning, multiple occupational exposures, diabetes and experimental surgery.

David will be involved in health impact assessment in the BlueHealth project, helping to identify the policies or interventions to be assessed in the risk assessment process and translate evidence into policy recommendations.
