Carita Håkansson is an occupational therapist and an associate professor in health science at the division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Lund University in Sweden.
Carita’s research interests are centered around relationships between people, their activities, the environment and health. In recent years, Carita has been researching green environments in particular. She uses both quantitative and qualitative methods in her research.
Within the BlueHealth project, she is mainly engaged in the use of virtual realities among elderly people.
